Hi all,
Is that th real beginning of cycle 24?
In any case, that was a good opening on 15m this afternoon : 2 new states (WV and NJ), and Bermuda were in the log (VP9KD).
Nothing new, but that was nice to hear and make QSO's on 15m !
Hope for some opening to Midwest tomorrow ?

Hi all,
A new one on 40m (#194) this night with XR0ZA in the log on 40m at 01:15 (02:15 local !)
It's becoming hard to get some new ones on the low bands, so some extra "efforts" are needed to reach the 200 DXCC there, incl "night activity"...
See you maybe on 80m (my best time would be at my sunrise, at around 07:40....)

Hi all,
Following my trials to get zone 19 on 40m, here are my thoughts about zone 23 on 80m.
There is 1 operator active there from Mongolia, Chack, JT1CO. I've been hearing him the last couple of days with good signals (S5 to S7), but even if not so many people were calling (and despite of calling sometimes "alone"), I've never been through so far.
I don't know what are his RX conditions, but I do hope to get him one of these days (this is the season for it !!!!!!!)

Hi all,
RX today the QSL from Charlie, for our QSO's on 17 and 12m with his special call VR2009EAG.
That was during one of last October "magic" opening on the high bands that I got him on 12m with an excellent S7 report here.
Thanks Charlies for QSO's and QSL, this is a new one confirmed on 12m, just just need Hong-Kong on 40 and 80m now, HI !
CU there on the Low bands !

Hi all,
I was lucky to go back home today for lunch (what I don't do everyday), but I had the strange feeling that something could happen (just have a look at the solr indexes theses days !).
I could see XW3DT spotted on 14.195 wordking simplex...I decided to go to the shack, but nothing heard.
Few minutes later, I saw him spotted on 14.180, still working simplex....Impossible Russian and South Europe Wall. When I heard him asking for split operation on 14.205, I jumped there and called a few minutes. His TX frequency was QRM(d by local stations at that time, and there were not so many callers. I took my chance and heard "Canada, go ahead"....I passed my call couple of times and heard the reply "Fox 8 Alpha Fox Canada, you are 5/9"....Lucky, QSB was also quick (he was actually peaking S3-S4, then going down the QRM level @ S2 here)...
But QSO was done, and an All Time New One was in the log !!! I remember last year hearing XW1B very loudly, but calling NA only all the time. Well today was my day
DXCC number 294, the psychological limit of 300 is coming closer and closer HI !
