VK9NI Episode 8: The real end

Hi all,

Now VK9NI is over, we can make a short analysis of the on-line log (mostly on 40m SSB QSO's).

From France, only 3 QSO's have been made on 40m SSB....F5BZB, F4FJH and F8CMF, congrats guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From UK (incl G/GM/GI/EI/GD/GM), only 1 QSO made bu G3LNP on 40m SSB.

This expedition was definitely not for us in North West-EU. But why ?

- Propagation indexes were very low (SSN = 0 for more than 1 week, with sometimes A/K indexes quite high, generating high level of QRN on our evening time)
- There was 1 WE of operation, but with the IOTA contest, there was too much QRM.
- Operating times on 40m SSB were defintely not favorable for us:
              On our morning time, they came there more than 2 hours after our sunrise (which was good for South West europe/Africa such as EA/CT/EA8)
              On our evening time, we had the same time (+/- few minutes) for bothy local sunset/sunrise. But most of the path was not on the dark side of the gray-line, and based on cluster spots, they only were active 2 evening on 40m SSB (the rest of the time, they were in either CW or digital modes)

Not mucky on this one, I'll do my best for the next expedition there
