Hi all,
I've been waiting all today for tis evening possible "skip" to Norfolk on 40m. He was spotted by some East-Central Europe around 2 hours before their sunset....I'll have 2 hours to wait hoping for the skip to turn in my direction (which had been the case recently for VK9LA, worked in both morning/evening side here !)
Cluster spots showed some skip going more to the West and South (some DL and Italians) but then, they stopped 40m for a while....I went back, 2 hours before my sunset (so at 17:45 GMT), they were spotted by some russians on 7150...(Unfortunately, we, in France, are STILL NOT ALLOWED to go from 7.1 to 7.2MHz...Another long French story !!!!). Anyway, I tried to listen, but only had crashes and QRN here (stormy weather !).
The, they went to CW where I could guess them, but not that strong here....And here we are, first spots on 20m (even by some EU....but as usually, many callers, few listeners. I was happy to have Norfolk already confirmed on 20/17/15m, HI !!!!!!!)
We'll see tomorrow morning on 40m long path. It has been said that they now have a 2 el vertical antenna, always better than their earlier dipole !
Anyway, I could get ES5GP/8 from IOTA EU178 (new IOTA, just have 30 left for all EU ITOA's !!!!!!)
Good luck to all,
Ronan, F8AFC
