QSO in the log : JT1CO on 40m, new DXCC and new zone !!!

Hi all,

I'm finishing my winter season DX'ing with a nice one on 40m...
I was chasing zone 23 for quite a long time without any success (missed a few times this zone, last one being during the last russian contest with UA0YAY....).

2 days ago, I saw JT1CO spotted on the cluster, at a convenient time for me (unfortunately, this time was also convenientt for the rest of EU  !)

I decided to try listening to him even if he was IN Simplex Operation (ISO, as seen on the Cluster)...He was rather weak (barely above my noise floor....). Pile-up was huge, with South, East-and Central Europe callers "non-stopping", as usually.
I thought to myself "Well, it will be for another day !"....but kept listening for a while.

Then, JT1CO decided to go for split operation (my only chance !), and I jumped into the split frequency...He got my call at almost my 2nd or 3rd call, while there were still some callers on his frequency....

And so went the "F8AFC you are 5/9 in Mongolia"...A new DXCC and a new Zone were in the log !!!!!!!!!!!

I'll send him my QSl for sure.

Now, I just miss zones 2, 19, and 34 on 40m, not that band for a first year active there, isn't it?
I heard only once zone 19...and never heard zone 2 nor 34 so far on 40m. I may need to wait for next year to get a chance to finalize all zones there, that will be my "next year" priority on 40m (Except if ther eare some expeditions in SU or 5A maybe, and hopefully on VY0/Y2 for Zone 2)
