Bill ended his operations yesterday evening after a 15m CW session, where he had a good signal. Well, I missed it on 17mCW, but I surely did a QSO with him on 15m (and possibly 40m). In addition to having QSO'd with him frolm South Cook on 15/12/10m, I really can not complain.
The only thing we can regret is the dropping down propagation due to earlier sunset here. Even if solar indexes are good, high bands close rapidely after SS, whereas at the same time, their sunrise occur later.
Nevermind, that was a great fun to look for him, TNX BILL

Bill is hard to get nowadays with the winter propagation closing higher bands soon after sunset. He has been spotted at normally convinient times on 17m, but was nil here (I hjust heard some southern europeans guys calling him). The only chance would be to re-try on 40m (not sure about the 1st QSO's.....) before he leaves, in 2 days from now.

2nd of December,
Days are passing and no new slot for Bill (loking for him mainly on 12/17m...). Unfortunately, I heard him couple of time on 15m, but everytime he was on 17/12m, he was nil here. One more week to go (at least, till beginning of next week ?)
This morning, I possibily worked him on 40m. Almost sure, but there was QRM and QSB...I do hope I didn't dream !

Well, no new slot so far....I tried on 17cw 2 days ago, but he QRT'd quickly after I went back home.
I also tried yesterday evening on 12m CW, but signals were down weak, almost non-decodable due to big QSB.
Signals here are weaker than when Bill was on South Cook. In addition, daylight is shorter and shorter, and openings are lower and shorter than they were a few eeks ago.
This morning, he was on 40cw, but weak also QSB...I didn't insist that much.
Hummm, it will be hard, I need some help from the sun,

20th of November,
Well, how to start....
A potential 40cw yesterday morning, but I haven't been lucky...I was calling him and heard just he beggining of his answer "F8......." when the T2T pile-up just came on its freq.....HARD !!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday evening, he was on 15cw with a very good signal (559), but All Europe was there....I fighted one hour, in vain, between EU and alos NA pilewhich was over 5KHz wide !!!!! Suddently, Bill decided to QRX, but and came back 10min after. I was there, and worked him few calls after on +3.4KHz....
I only had so far North Cook on 20SSB. This 15cw is then a new band, let's see if I'll be as lucky as E51NOU on 15/12/10cw....
