S04R Western Sahara, episode 1

Hi all,

First day of activity chasing S04R on the air (I just went back home yesterday, so issed the very first day of the expedition).
All started yesterday morning with 20/17m QSO's, quite easy, even if the signal on 20 was still not  that great (but that was before yesterday afternoon ZOOOO !).
For memory, I need S0 Western Sahara on only 10 and 80m...As I took my day off yesterday, I was hoping for some kind of short skip on 10m in the day time (S0 is not that afr from my QTH), which would have been possible.
But they even didn't go over 17m..

Anyway, I tried for the low bands this morning...He was indeed spotted on 80m with a good signal here,  but what a pile-up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I jumped into it, trying to listen the way he was behaving in his 4KHz RX band....He didn't have any "method", that was really aleatory. Another "short" DX for Europe on the low bands means "big amp" and "no courtesy"...the worst situation. I nevertheless decided to jump right after each previous QSO with another EU station....and I may have done it 15 times before he got my call (at 05:25 UTC).

Yes, one of my goal is now done : Western Sahara on 80m

Because the expedition ends on the 17th, that means I have no chance for 10m (being back at the office today....), so I'll have to wait for another expedition from there....But a new one on 80m, almost the last missing band for a DXCC, can't complain !!!!!
