Hi all,
Here is the diagram of the entire HF preamp + filters that I'm putting in place.
The RF detection will be done through a RFS-1 kit from RAMSEY (supporting up to 100W).
This also could be done by adding a DPDT relay using Tr-Ry signal from the transceiver (Which is grounded when in TX mode).
Note that the RFS-1 kit is directly passing the signal from RF_IN to RF_out when not power-supplied (This is the NC contact of its internal relay.
This will give me the possibility to :
- Use the HF2V with or without preamplifier (SW1 and 3)
- Use a separate antenna for reception, while keeping the HF2V for transmission (SW2)
This will be done thanks to a single 12V power supply. Maximum current consumed is estimated to be around
- 130 mA for the preamplifier
- 40 mA for each relay (12V relay)
- 50 mA for the RFS-1 (estimated current) when ON.
So total current is around 220 mA
I've got an external small power supply that is specified at 12V / 5A, this is going to be fine!
I now have everything (except SO239 plug) to start mounting the set-up in its metallic box....I know what I'll do next week-end, HI !
