Butternut HF2V : Found one !

Hey, just conclude on a payment for an HF2V directly from the States. A New In Box HF2V from N3HYB, Don.

I'm looking forward to receiving it !!!
I'm already preparing the ground plane (At least 32 radials of 30ft, 10m, each, to start)...It can only be better than the GRK kit provided by Butternut (10 radials of 9.2m each).
Based on the nice document from SteppIR regarding ground mounted verticals, (http://www.steppir.com/pdf/radial%20systems%20for%20vertical%20antennas.pdf) it looks like:
On 40m : 32 radials of 10m --> I should be close to 75% efficiency and a relatie gain of 2dB lower than PERFECT ground...(if considering my soil is very poor, which is not the case....it is very humid actually)
On 80m, > 70% efficiency and 2.5dB less gain than PERFECT ground.

I believe this is a god starting point. At the same time, due to my ground plane max area, I may not be able to use longer radials (66ft or 20m for 80m), so my only possibility is to keep 10m long radials for both 40/80m..
- When looking at SteppIR doc, on 40m, with 10m long radials, it is worthless to increase their numer higher than 48....
-->So with 32, I'll be already close to the theoretical optimum ground plane on my QTH.

I've read some litterature on RFI caused by the use of verticals antennas. Did anyone experimented such issues with his vertical on the low bands?
I've got a line isolator from RadioWroks (T4-G) that I'll prevently connect at the base of the antenna...For the rest, we'll see :-)

I'm really looking forward to erecting the antenna....On the low bands where I've never been that active (A few DX nevertheless, like VP6DX, which was a true miracle), I've only got 50 DXCC on 40, and no more than 30 on 80m...
