VP6DX : 40m QSO, EXTRAORDINARY !!!!!!!!!!!

AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the short story:

Yesterday morning, I heard them on my hexbeam on 40m with a S5 to S7 signal at 09:00z. But my pb for me is that I don't have any low band antennas....

I was so impressed that I tried to tune the antenna with the tuner of the FT920, unsuccesfully.

Later in the day, I tried to re-tune the antenna with my back-up rig (a TS450SAT), and it worked !!!!!!!!

This morning, I heard VP6DX S5 here at around 08:00z...I quickly changed the transceiver and called them for about 5 minutes (listening to quite a lot of EU calling him).  And THEY ANSWERED ME !!!!!!!!!!! Amazing !!!!!!!!!

I got them so far on 40/20 and 17m, all this with 100W (max, not radiated :-) )

Look for them on 15m.....(as well as on-line log !)
