Je n'ai pas eu de pb pour recevoir la QSL d'Henri (TJ3AY, alias F6EAY) à l'adresse indiquée sur QRZ.com chez F5LGE (ETSA). Il est vrai que c'était il y a plus d'un an maintenant. Et à ma connaissance, il n'y a pas eu de changements d'adresse depuis....Avez-vous essayé d'envoyer un mail aux protagonistes? J'espère que les choses vont s'arranger, le cas échéant, demandez à Henri sur l'air, il est souvent actif,

Thanks for the info (and for reading my blog!!!).

From Western Europe point of view, we surely miss some historical/political inputs, but I've already seen some TV documentations on this topic. And from here, it seems to be complicated indeed (maybe from your area too)

Now, I learnt something new thanks to your inputs. I've always been fascinating by those small atolls/reefs/rocks in this area (same as for BS7H for example), and it is always nice to hear some ham-radio activity from there !

Oui, première fois où ils passaient (le soleil se calme un peu...). Mais j'avais pas mal de QRM sur leur fréquence. Tu les entendais en SP ou LP? (SP ici, mais avec un pic de signal vers 30° au lieu de 350°....). Pas mal de F sont passés, c'est bon signe. Et comme l'expé dure jusqu'au 24 Mars (je crois), ça devrait le faire logiquement. Mais bon, le plus vite dans le log, le mieux, surtout pour un new one, HIx3 !!!!!

First of all, congrats!

You are correct, I will never get all DXCC on all bands, I'm just trying to "work" all the DXCC (if possible) at least one time, whatever the band is. This is what I did with those T2T on 20cw, and I'm already happy

Now, I may have badly expressed my feeling, but after contacting both E51NOU and ZK2V on 15/12/10cw during the last few of days (local evening times), I was just surprised not to hear the T2T there. It is a bit frustrating indeed, but again, the operators are the operators, and logically, they do operate the way they want. No need to argue about it. I just wanted to pointed out that they always miss the main band opening to Europe, whatever the band is.

Believe it or not, even if I particpate sometimes in pile-ups, what I prefer by far is to turn my VFO and make a nice/long QSO before the zoo arrives. That happened to me yesterday evening on 15cw when I was waiting for those T2T and when I heard Chris, ZK2V, just starting calling CQ. I could even get him with 5W QRP, that was FUN ! This is the aspect that I prefer in Radio, like an old school guy : Turn my VFO and be the first to make the QSO, this has been and will always be the most efficient way!

Et ouais, j'me suis lancé hier soir. Pas mal d'appréhension, pas mal de fautes de manip' malgré une vitesse lente. Mais faut bien se jeter à l'eau un jour. Et puis de toutes façons, ça ne pourra pas être pire, HI!

Je continue bien sûr les "leçons" sur LCWO.net pour le décodage et de la manip "en l'air" de pages de bouquins pour mieux maitriser le manip et la vitesse, mais la tentation était trop grande quand j'ai entendu LMJ 

Et ce matin, banco avec le KH6 sur 20 et le A92 sur 15m. Mais là, c'était plus facile, un QSO à la "5nn"...Bon, je n'ai plus qu'à mettre la verticale 80m sur la portion CW maintenant pour la prochaine saison "bandes basses", HIx3 !

Merci pour les infos. Tu vois, je n'ai pas fait de CW pendant mes 15 jours de vacances en TK (à Vescovato pour info), et au retour, je m'y suis remis à 25wpm comme vitesse de caractères. je me refais les 40 leçons, et après, je suivrai tes conseils avec Rufz avant de me jeter à l'eau, HI.

Pour le keyer, merci aussi pour l'info. Je vais déjà voir ce qui existe pour potasser cela

Tnx for this comment. I thought that was an "old story" , but it seems I was wrong when seeing "Andy's friends" defending the undefensible, without being honest, by not reading carefully all I've written here....

It's your word against mine. But I thought I was clear enough in my sincere and honest description. Your comment just showed me you didn't get all I've said (Sorry if this is due to my English)

I did NOT call P29CS when he was calling "SA only" on 21.260. I just called him when he finished his "local" QSO on 21.253 and that was a few minutes after he QSY'd from 21.260. Is there something unclear in this statement?

Yes I then called him on 21.253. But I gave my call 2 times AFTER he finished his QSO (For me, saying "73, bye" logically means that the QSO is terminated). And I called him about 20 seconds after this last transmission to be sure nobody else "locally" was willing to get him. I didn't hear anything, so I tried my chance and called him.

Was that a bad manner to try my chance this way, respecting the guy's previous QSO till its end? Did I miss something there? If so, please explain.

- If you say that you are to QRT and if you hear someone calling you "in the rules" 20sec after, like I did, do you reply to him by insulting him?

If you reply to this guy, it means you're not so "in a hurry" to QRT and we make the contact (maybe more than just "5/9 thank you"); And as said earlier, I would have been pleased to have a decent/normal/long QSO with him, that is also a part of the hobby I do appreciate.

If you are in a hurry to QRT (whatever your reasons are), you simply switch OFF the radio, so you even don't listen to the caller. Is that something difficult to do than doing what you declared to be doing?

But in any case I'd NEVER go back to this guy JUST to insult him, and you?

I sincerely hope you share the same opinion as I do. But if only one of your answers is "Yes", then indeed we do not share the same vision of the hobby.

It didn't seem to be the vision of Andy's based on his "more than rude" language, this is simply why I made this entry here.

I don't have anything  personal "against" him and I just don't want to enter into any futile conflict with anybody. But as far as I know, I'm free to express my feelings and my deception to hear such behavior on the air. And be sure I'll go on living very comfortably without any QSO with him. I know what I did and how I did it, I know what he said, that's all.

I must agree with you that the zoo you have to face each time must be terrible and almost impossible to cope with. This is maybe why you don't seem to be very active from the last couple of years, do you? By the way, did you go back to New South wales (Sidney?), this is where your email IP is from

There is no excuse, certainly not the one of being a "DX", that could justify such behavior and bad manners. DO NOT TRY TO UNFAIRLY INVERT THE ROLES.

I now just smile when reading his friends comments trying in vain to bring the responsability of what happened (and of what he said) on the wrong person.

Please next time, take a step forward and do testify to what you really heard, not only to what your friends wrote or told you to say,
