Guess what, 2 new ones for me and my QRP conditions
JW8DW from Svalbard isl (during a pile-up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DP0GVN Mirko, Antarctica (after the pile-up)
KP4DKE on 20m
HB9TNW (My first HB9 on QRP, also Hexbeam user !)
As for now, I've got 131 DXCC/QRP....
The antenna will definitely be the best amplifier of the world !

In the log as QRP (5 Watts) during the last couple of days
9U0A on 20m
8R1XT Martin on 20m
ZD7X on 17m
3DA0TM Andy on 20m
KE0L in Minnesotta on 20m
CT3MD madeira on 20m
J6/DL7AFC Babs on 20m
Not so bad within the low part of the cycle, with 5 watts. Definitely, the HexBeam is not acting as a dummy load, HI!
I'll be very often on 20m, at around 19:30-20:00z beaming NA and calling with 5W.
This is definitely the best time for my location, at the extreme West Europe, when the band is dead for the other EU areas !
If you hear me, please d'ont hesitate to answer, even shortly...
I think I'll start a WAS QRP, so please help me !!!!!

Yesterday, I aslo received 3XY5M QSL for my 10 and 12meters QSO (April '07). A new one confirmed on those 2 bands (Which is quite nice in this lowest part of the solar cycle).
Thanks to the manager PA7FM Dennis, and of course thanks to Michael 3XY5M !!!!!

Yesterday evening, I coninued enjoying excellent conditions on 20m and decided to call /QRP with 5W PEP.
Well, my first one was Wally, R1AND, from Antarctica !!!!!!!!!!!! A new one for my DXCC QRP !
Then a few US stations (again Dick, WN3R, who was really booming here, and K5SIV from Austin, TX.
Reports difference bewteen 5 and 100W PEP was not that big, maybe due to the fact those some QSB was already there. I should try again this evening, a little bit earlier (the band was
starting to close already yestersay, earlier than the day before)...So if you hear me calling on 14.222MHz (+/- QRM), don't hesitate !!!!!!!
Best time for me to try QRP is at about 20:00-20:30z. Band is still well open in my area (West Europe), whereas conditions are already decreasing everywhere else in Europe.
This good opening lasts roughly a good hour before the conditions start to change, making therefore QRP very difficult!!!!!
Anyway, I had a great fun again !

Hi all,
Tonight I decided to transmit only with QRP power : 5 W PEP into my hexbeam...
Believe it r not, I made the following QSO
HC2FN Ecuador
N0AIE Nebraska (new state for me in QRP)
V21RW Antigua
PJ4/PA3CNX
ZF2DF
J6/DL7AFS
VE3CNX, AK8V and W8CNL
All this with sometimes a big pile-up (HC2FN), excellent ears from the other side (N0AIE), and a SFI of 67 only !!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes radio brings you excellent surprises !!!!!!
Good DX to all,
Ronan

"DAGOE" stands for "Dutch Amateurs Going On Expedition". The club members Arie Kleingeld,PA3A (
EL2AK), Ad van Ginneken,PA8AD (
EL2AG), Arie Noordzij,PA3AN (
EL2AN), and Henk van Oosterhout, PA3AWW (
EL2AO), are planning
a major activity from Liberia from Oct 3-24. The operation on 80m/160m shall start on Oct 7 at latest. Due to the high demand they decided to work in RTTY as well.
Liberia's infrastructure was totally destroyed during the civil war (1989-2003) and shall be supported with this DXpedition financially. You may request your QSLs with a donation after the
DXpedition at: http://www.liberia2007.com/qslpolicy.php
The DAGOE members have three main goals:
- Activate Liberia in a major style operation
- The charity project with a call for donations
- Supporting the "Liberia Radio Amateur Association" (LRAA) with equipment
The DXpedition will use two radios with amp's having the aim to log at least 25000 QSOs mainly in CW and SSB. Following antennas will be used:
160m/80m: vertical (80 radials)
40m: vertical (30 radials)
WARC: triband vertical
20/15/10m: 2ele tribander and a 3ele tribander.
QSL cards may be requested online at the address printed above. This applies only to direct QSLs and a donation for the charity project is mandatory for that. If you send your QSLs direct you should enclose at least 2 US$ and send them to PA3AWW, Meelbeshof 8, 3355 BD Papendrecht, Netherlands. If you
prefe QSLs via bureau please send them also via PA3AWW. There will be no eQSLs

After a lapse of nearly five years, the call 3D2AG/p will be
activated from the small isolated island of Rotuma (OC-060) in December 2007 by Antoine, also known as FO5RK.
The expedition is planned to start on December 15, and last until January 20 or so, depending on transportation schedules.
Antoine will leave for Rotuma from Suva, Fiji via an inter-island shipping vessel, which takes 48 hours to reach the isolated island some 500 km to the northwest.
There is no mains electricity supply or adequate supplies of fuel or any other commodities on the island, so all necessary items will need to be taken by boat.
